Video Transcript to Arabic Study Notes

Extract structured Arabic notes from English or Arabic video transcripts using Gemini

Your video library is in English but your learners need Arabic materials. Manual translation of hour-long videos into useful notes takes days and the structure often gets lost.

That is the gap this drop closes. It is a content & writing skill built for Gemini, and it takes about ten minutes to set up the first time. After that it runs in under a minute.

Who should use it

Trainers, educators and L&D specialists who need Arabic study materials from video content

How it works

The skill file does five things, in this order.

1. Get the transcript with timestamps. Use YouTube's transcript feature or a tool like Otter.ai to extract the full video text with time markers.

2. Request Arabic note structure. Tell Gemini to create Arabic section headings, bullet points and key terms from the transcript.

3. Specify technical term handling. Instruct the model whether to translate technical terms fully, keep them in English with Arabic explanation, or transliterate them.

4. Add context for your domain. Provide industry context or preferred terminology so Arabic output matches how your audience actually speaks.

5. Review for formal versus accessible tone. Check that the Arabic register suits your learners and adjust the prompt if the language is too formal or too colloquial.

What comes back

Arabic study notes with section structure, key concepts and timestamp references for learners to navigate back to the original video

The mistake to avoid

Gemini sometimes defaults to overly formal Arabic that sounds unnatural to Gulf learners. Test a sample with your actual audience and add tone guidance to your prompt. If technical terms are inconsistent across runs, build a small glossary in your prompt.

Running it

Save the prompt as a Gem so it is reusable, or paste it into Gemini with your files attached. If the task touches Sheets, Docs or Gmail, run it from the Workspace side panel so it can read the file you already have open.

Where this fits

On its own, one skill saves an hour a week. The compounding happens when three or four of them run in sequence on the same input, the same transcript that produces a scope of work also produces the follow-up email and the project brief. That is the point at which it stops being a prompt and starts being an internal tool. If you want that wired into the systems your team already uses, that is the work 67 Digital does.
