Qualify Leads Before You Pitch
Score inbound leads fast so you spend time on the ones that convert
You waste hours on calls with leads who can't afford you or don't fit your service model. By the time you realise it, you've already invested in proposal prep and follow-up.
That is the gap this drop closes. It is a sales & leads skill built for Claude, and it takes about ten minutes to set up the first time. After that it runs in under a minute.
Who should use it
Sales teams and founders who get too many inbound enquiries to assess manually
How it works
The skill file does five things, in this order.
1. Build your qualification criteria. List the signals that predict whether a lead will close: budget range, decision timeline, authority level, past vendor experience, team size.
2. Feed Claude your criteria and the enquiry. Paste the inbound email or form submission alongside your scoring rubric and ask Claude to evaluate fit.
3. Get a score and flagged gaps. Claude returns a qualification score, highlights missing information, and suggests which questions to ask next.
4. Triage into response tracks. Route high scorers to a call, medium scorers to a detailed questionnaire, low scorers to a polite decline or self-serve resource.
5. Refine criteria from outcomes. After a month, compare scores to actual closed deals and adjust weights for criteria that proved predictive.
What comes back
A scored list of leads with clear next actions, so your calendar fills with qualified prospects instead of tyre kickers
The mistake to avoid
Don't make the rubric too rigid at first. Let Claude surface patterns you missed, like industry sectors that say yes faster or company stages that stall. Feed those observations back into your criteria every quarter.
Running it
Save this as SKILL.md inside a folder named after the skill, then drop the folder into your Claude Code skills directory or upload it to a Claude Project. Claude reads the frontmatter to decide when the skill applies, so keep the description line intact. For a one-off run, paste the prompt block directly.
Where this fits
On its own, one skill saves an hour a week. The compounding happens when three or four of them run in sequence on the same input, the same transcript that produces a scope of work also produces the follow-up email and the project brief. That is the point at which it stops being a prompt and starts being an internal tool. If you want that wired into the systems your team already uses, that is the work 67 Digital does.
